Exoskeleton suites closer then ever?

sci-fi exoskeletonFor years, well as far as I can see dating back to the cave men time man has always looked on creating something to protect and make himself stronger. This is of course more the story when your talking about military needs. Any sci-fi writer or reader knows what an Exoskeleton is and does. In the world of science fiction they come in many different sizes and functions from just skin tight shirts to Battle-Tech hundred ton machines that mimic your every move.

This science fiction meets reality has been picking up a lot of news lately and well it should since we are currently at war with thousands of US soliders dead and thousands of others wounded. First Sci-Fi Tech has a nice blog post about 9 Military Technologies we want – Exoskeleton is number 2 on that list and they point out the recerational uses this could have. On the Scince Fiction tv show Dark Angle the male lead – Logan – was wheel chair bound until he came across some fancy Exoskeleton legs making him able to walk again which leads to another interesting concept of this technology.

However before the medical and recreational use of this technology the military will have the first run. In this article at spiegel.de they talk about Robo-Soldiers and how the Pentagon is developing such a thing. This past October New Scientist posted a similar article on their blog and also reflected the length at which these projects have been worked on which is the reason why exoskeletons are popular in Science Fiction. Science fiction writers tend to use things that are possible but limited with todays technology and knowledge, they ask the “what if” and “why not” questions then answer them.

With the advancement in technology and the how computers and electronics are shrinking in size it is only a matter of time we wear our computers. Wearing a computer may mean an entire exoskeleton suite that maybe called a smart suite as well. The future of this technology is as open as the books, cartoons and movies have showed us. Reading about the development of these suites puts a smile on my face that once again technology is caching up to our imaginations.

The technical aspect of the location and the IP (actual number associated with the website.) has a lot of information. Electrifing the american legal system

Alternating Current and Direct Current are the way we transfer electricity. For your house and the electric company, which you desperately try to pay so you can come in from that long day, plop in front of the tv drink a couple of beers while you watch re-runs of Seinfeld or Sex in the City then move on to playing another Grand Theft Auto game on your Play station since you are barely surviving and it just makes everything hurt less, use Alternating Current. On the other hand the older and more widely used means of power allows us to lesson the our mainly hood as we put the laptop on our crouch and the cellphone in our pockets, not to mention the stun-gun your girlfriend keeps in her purse is called Alternating Current. Now if the inventors Nikola Tesla who invented AC Electricity or Thomas Edison who profited from DC electricity were alive today and followed the current philosophy of the RIA then both of these fore-fathers of modern day electronics would have sued the ass out of the rock band AC/DC. Fortunately that isn’t the case and the RIA is in turn making millions by backing an industry who has exploited and infringed on infamous people, events and ideas for there own personal gain.

Rotten Apples Broken Windows

I have been asked many times, “which is better the MAC or Windows PC?”. There is no true answer to this debate. However, people who are computer dysfunctional may find Apple’s Macintosh computers easier to use. Apple always uses the latest technology, they never keep older technologies. Meaning that there systems will last much longer, of course this also means the initial investment is more. Apple has an innovated way of thinking and designing their machines. Simple. If you work on a Windows at work with customized business software it may be hard to find Mac version. If your looking for a cheap PC to write documents and cruise the web then windows is the best way to go. Apple computers and devices are really for those looking for the latest technologies which are geared towards the artistic and creative persona.

With todays technology it’s only a matter of time before all vechiles can be remote or AI. This little guy (14,000 pounds) is the that future only today. Now if they can do this why can’t the taxi driver not cut me off.
